What a wonderful group of riders
It’s September the 20th, it’s in the peak of our season and we are expecting a group of 10 riders from Israel, a place we lately have most of our riders from. We are worried due to our physical status, usually the guys from those riding lands are strong and demanding and we have to perform.
We on the other side, have been beaten by fatigue, lack of sleep and almost 18 hours per day activity the last couple of months. ( maybe even more)
Guys show up, and right from day one there is chemistry. Civilised and polite, they dig through the matters of riding with exploring mind, sharing and listening, participating, respecting and offering, ideas and opinions. What a wonderful introduction, days like this you just don’t want to go back home.
Guys are young in average, only a couple of guys are reaching the 5th decade among them and the rest barely touching the 4th.
Riding days were amazing. They respected the bikes like their own, making comments on how the deep scratches and the dents appeared on such low hour, 2019 new bikes. We had to explain that not everyone is the kind of rider they were.
The energy of the group was so positive, that we had to arrange something extra for them and we did.
Our fellow riders, local friends, had a meeting in one of our favorite riding destinations and we took the risk . We asked from a couple of them to Grill in the woods, in a designated for grilling area, we arranged to reach by the most interesting riding route of ours.
What followed was and off road enduro party with the guys enjoying the grilled lamb, the chops and the meat in the middle of nowhere, while Andreas was trying to conquer an unbelievable uphill with Aris and some other friends.
A day I have never had before in my career as a guide with North Star and I feel like I personally have to thank you guys, Omer, Adi, Hagai, Yaniv, Roi, Uri, Nir, Tomer and forgive me for forgetting someone.
